Hello Virginia Wine Lovers!

March is just around the corner and we’ve got another amazing Virginia wine dinner planned for you.  Just north of us in Woodstock, VA, lies Muse, an award-winning boutique vineyard, with nearly 30 acres under vine carefully planting French and Italian varietals that thrive in their perfectly situated vineyard in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

In 2015, just a few years after the vineyard was founded, Muse won the VA Governor’s Cup with their Clio Bordeaux blend.  It was then that we first teamed up with Muse for a wine dinner to share their delicious wines and the dedication and hard work that went into making them.  Four years later, Muse has continued to follow time honored French and Italian wine making traditions to produce these exceptional wines and we are thrilled that Muse will be back at Emilio’s to share them with you all.

Course 1Sausage stuffed mushrooms with a roasted red pepper creme

Course 2Chopped cabbage salad, toasted walnuts and bacon crumble dressed with Dijon parmesan peppercorn

Paired with 2015 Cabernet Franc

Course 3Fettuccini Primavera with fresh rainbow carrots, asparagus, red onion and English peas in a white wine cream sauce

Paired with 2017 Thalia

Course 4Filet Mignon topped with a bourbon glaze, served with potatoes au gratin and sauteed zucchini noodles

Paired with 2013 Clio

Course 5Fresh apricot and goat cheese tart drizzled with honey

Paired with 2018 Erato
